Linux Stuff
I intend to put much more stuff here eventually, but just to begin with there
are a few links to useful stuff, and programs that I've written.
Programs
Uh, slowly, as I produce reasonable (haha) programs for Linux, I'll stick them
here.
Perl/Tk
Hmmm. Perl/Tk is an extension to Perl that
allows you to write GUI thingies for X Windows.
Links
Hmmm. Let me think about this. Just a few useful things listed below:
- Slashdot "News for Nerds. Stuff
that Matters"
- Freshmeat - Massive Linux software
index
- themes.org - t.o the repository
for themes for window managers and GTK for X
- UserFriendly - a great
geek-orientated daily cartoon strip
- Debian Linux - What I run here. It's
good
- The Linux Emporiun
- an excellent source of Linux CDs in the UK
- The GIMP The GNU Image Manipulation
Program
- GTK The GIMP Toolkit
- Enlightenment A rather cool
window manager for X
- WindowMaker My personal
favourite window manager for X. Sort of NextStep look.
- VIM A nice, quick, efficient editor
- GNU GNU's Not Unix
- GNOME The GNU Network Object Model
Environment.
- KDE The K Desktop Environment
- I could go on...
