Whois Client for Perl/Tk
Okay, okay, I admit it - I cheated a little with this one! It's simply a slightly modified version of ptkfinger, but uses the whois protocol instead.
Whois is a service that allows you to look up the details of the owner of a particular domain. rs.internic.net (CNAME whois.internic.net) is the main server for GTLDs (.com, .org, .net etc). For other Top-Level Domains, you should try a server in the format of whois.nic.TLD
